The southern part of Sweden (Skåne) has much to offer. Lomma is a nice place with a windy beach (kite surfing) and several cafes/restaurants. Don't miss the rose-garden close to the sea (however in mid-july it was not at its best).

While my sister and I had a few extra days in Southern Sweden to hang out and explore, we decided to hit the beach. Lomma, just a short bus ride away, seemed like the perfect spot. However being Sweden, just as we arrived at the beach, so did the clouds. We asked a local if there was anything else besides the beach to do and he recommended Lomma Beach House.
As soon as we arrived we were warmly welcomed by an incredible staff. We had never been too interested in sports, let alone extreme sports, but they convinced us to join a kite Surfing course. We decided to bite our tounge and go for it! We grabbed an gourmet burger from their New Zealand chef and hit the water.
Our instructor took us though everything until we felt confident to actually try it out. What a thrilling experience! Tobi, our instructor, and this "Ride" course really made our trip to Sweden complete.
After a few days we were up, riding, and having the time of our life.
This is a must go spot for a good meal, an ice cream on the beach, and most importantly an experience to never forget!
Thanks guys at kite.se for making us feel young again!!!

Lomma strand is our favorite place to go for a walk and just chilling out. Love the sand on this beach - no stones at all. The water is super clean and the best is that it is quite shallow when it is low tide. Super nice place for kids. Long walks, yoga, kite Surfing, and peaceful and beautiful sunsets.

This is a unique place and must go for those who love exploring plants and species and also for those who will just have a simple walk. There is a farmers museum and also a restaurant and of course the gene bank. All in all great place to plan a day out with family and friends

"Lomma Folkets Hus" was built in 1898. At this time in history the workers had no place to organize and had no place to have union meetings and this is one of the reasons the workers built this house. Around the year of 1916 a local cinema was installed and the house was used by different organizations. In the 1950 and up to present time it's used for both birthday-parties, graduation, meetings, dance, music and theatre.
This is one of the oldest “Folkets Hus” in Sweden and has a very important part of the country’s development and history.
