August 17, 2021 Joeann Galban

We've heard Toronto described as "New York City run by the Swiss," and it's true—you can find world-class theater, shopping and restaurants here, but the sidewalks are clean and the people are friendly. The best place to start is literally at the top—the CN Tower, the tallest freestanding structure in the Western Hemisphere.

Aquarius Scuba Diving Centre

We don't just teach scuba diving. We're a team of divers constantly searching for adventure and exploration. We love to scuba dive. And we hope it comes through. It’s a basic human need, exploring the world and searching for adventure. If you look at history, we’re scattered across the globe now, because we’ve been driven by that need to explore. We’ve been about diving for a very long time. We’ve made a career out of it and are very passionate about it. We can’t get enough of it. It continues to change our lives. We believe that once you train a diver, and teach them to dive safely, they tend to care about the ocean, about its conservation and ecology, and about its preservation and protecting it. The more people that we can bring in as certified divers and teach them these things, the better off that stewardship will be along with the survivability and future of our oceans. We think the earth needs a little bit more of that. Come dive with us!

One of the best places for high end shopping is Bloor Street. Major stores, such as Louis Vuitton, Tiffany and Co., Hermes, Cartier, and Prada to name a few you will find in this street. Excellent customer service, great shopping and hotels nearby, this is the place to be if you want to experience top notch service. It is in an open area, so be mindful of the weahter conditions that you might have to deal with during the winter.

Etienne Brule Park

I was pleasantly surprised to experience the salmon run right here in the city. How fortunate! I learnt afterwards that there are enhancements to assist the fish migration because I left the park sad seeing those big and beautiful fish try so hard but not one got over the dam while I was there. I am also not sure if those anglers should be there. To me, they are just traumatizing the fish even with the catch and release option. Not sure what satisfaction they get when they congregate in the Humber River at a time when the there is a concentration in a defined space during spawning season. Anyways, it was a pure thrill to be there on a glorious Fall day. The park has many trails and bike lanes - a convenient site to soak up a bit of nature.
