Such a beautiful place, quiet and awe-inspiring.
With a public place to swim so as not to disturb the natural environment this covers all factors of environmental friendliness and access to hidden urges.. 7 km from gingoog and a 300 m trek up an easy path.

I love mountain climbing but this is my first to climb in Mt. Lumot. I was invited by a friend although I am from this city. I recommend to everyone if they want to try different adventure. There is a shrine up there, remember the Cebu Pacific Airline before? This is the place.

This place has been popular by the locals long before wooden and thatch cottages were built. What makes this cold spring unique is it's ample spring source that mixes with the nearby sea. More spring pipes were installed giving convenience to bathe and take fresh and cold water for consumption. The area is not as touristy as other places.

At the first look you will thought that it will just be an ordinary brook from a river with no special features. Where the locals tend their beasts and wash their clothes. But of you walk up the trail going to the top of the mountain. You will be amazed how the brook from upstream will turn into a cascade of Waterfalls and pools that will make you want to dive in. The view is very beautiful and relatively less touristy. But sad to say, people dont have much respect to cleanliness and orderliness. Vandalism and littering was very notorious among swimmers of the falls. I heard though that the local government is planning to develop this into a local attraction. Well i hope this will make Lugait from a sleepy town to a more progressive income generating town.

Punong beach is such a beautiful, tranquil place just a short ride outside of gingoog city, lovely views and a contrast to the brown/black volcanic sand just around the headland.
Our visit found the sea so calm, as it is most days in gingoog bay.
The beauty of the Mountains in the background are stunning. The sky was mirrored by the sea which made us so transfixed.
The only downside was I had to travel at least 150mtrs out into the sea to swim as it was so shallow. Perfect for kids but frustrating for those of us who love to swim down to the many coral reefs.
