Honey Tasmania invites you to experience the delicious and fascinating world of honey, learn about the remarkable journey from flower source to jar, and appreciate the wonder that is the honeybee. Come into our warm and welcoming shop, The Beehive, in EXETER (20 minute drive north of Launceston), where you can taste uniquely different varieties of pure raw honey made by our millions of industrious bees. You can watch the workers (female bees) carry out their numerous tasks, and try spotting the queen bee, in our two live display beehives. Our shop also offers a wide range of honey alcohol, including traditional meads, honey liqueurs, honey whiskeys, and honey ales - the largest selection in Australia. Medicinal benefits from honey and other honeybee products (royal jelly, propolis and bee pollen), are available as a remedy for many of your ailments. Locally made giftware can be found throughout the shop. If you've never tasted honey ice cream, we have three delicious flavours to try!
I love bees and I love flowers and I love honey, why wouldn't I like this attraction. The building which houses the retail shop is decorated in an interesting manner with many honey and bee related products for sale. A nice touch is the beehive behind the perspex, so you can see them busy at work, if you've ever wanted to see inside a beehive, now you can. I also really enjoyed the bee friendly garden (complete with weeds but bees need them too!) and the more unusual plants, some of which I'd never seen before (Sanguisorba, very interesting growth and flowers). The owner is very knowledgeable about bees, it's her passion, you can tell

Winter Brook is a boutique vineyard, winery and tasting room located in the West Tamar Valley, run by husband and wife team Frank & Nicole Huisman. We produce premium cool-climate wines that are ‘made’ in our vineyard and polished in our winery, using minimal intervention. We are a dog friendly vineyard, so bring your four-legged friends and let them roam in our fenced vineyard, while you enjoy your wine tasting or BYO picnic and friends and relax at handmade picnic tables in the shade of our apple trees. We are looking forward to welcoming you!
Loved it! Very friendly owners/wine makers. Great wines, lovely winery with a very friendly dog that loves a pat ????
