Enjoy a short break messing about on the river and explore the River Thames at your own pace in a spacious widebeam boat or a narrow boat. Full tuition is provided at the start of your hire so that you are happy and confident in driving the boat .Generous space both outside on bow and stern decks and inside includng: a galley, WC and shower and living room, offers everything you need to enjoy a self drive holiday on the river. Dogs are welcome. Pick up and return is from our base in Caversham. Car Parking is available on site. For longer stays on the river, why not hire one of our bigger widebeam boats and spend a weekend or longer, cruising at your own pace down to Windsor or up to Oxford. Full tuition & life jacket hire is provided. We are British Marine Federation accredited QAB Status and are an RYA training centre offering the Inland waterways Helmsman course. Friendly and fun local pub in Reading suburb of Caversham. BT sports, pool table. Tapas menu plus burgers, paninis, toasties,chips and various side orders available. Highly recommended our all freshly made Sunday Roadt. Large selection of gins, vodkas, rums and malt whiskeys. Craft beers, real ales, Guinness, largers, ciders along with a very good range of wines, and minerals. All welcome at the Prince of Wales, we look forward to meeting you!
