I just got back from spending 4 days at the battlefords provincial park. I stayed in the center campground which is close to the main beach area. The main beach area was beautiful. They went out every morning and raked the beach so it looked nice. They have another beach at a day use area. It looked nice as well. The beach area was a great place to go in the evening and watch the sunset. They have benchs located in the perfect locations to enjoy the view. My campsite was nice lots of trees - but pretty open in the front. Woild have worked great for an RV or trailer. While I was there I tried out the disc golf course. There main course is considered to be one of the nicest in Saskatchewan. I played the smaller rec course which was also beautiful. I paid 20 dollars a night for my non-electric site. It also costs 10 dollars day for a park pass or 75 a year for the provincial park pass.

Work took me to the town of Cochin. I looked up, and there it was! The mysterious lighthouse of Saskatchewan!! I had heard about it, but forgotten which small town had the lighthouse. Also, I didn't realize that it was way way up on a hill with amazing views of Jackfish lake. I'm so happy I took the time and got my lazy butt up those 153 steps. It was worth it. And I was great to check that off my Saskatchewan Bucket list.
