Burkina Faso isn't full of natural wonders.. thus it makes Sindou Peak a must visit. To be honest, it's not earth-shattering awesomeness. It's very nice and unusual rock formations but the rocks aren't that big or majestic, and the whole area isn't really that big. If you've seen other famous rock formations in other countries, this wouldn't blow your mind away, that's for sure. But in Burkina Faso it is one of more unique place to be. I'd recommend to go if you're indeed in Burkina. The road to Sindou from Banfora now is really bad though. Construction is going on and there are so many detours to take in order to reach Sindou. So allow extra time and hang on to your seat. It's worth spending a night there, as I felt the night in Sindou Peak is more beautiful, with stars lighting up the rocks.

There are much better Waterfalls in Africa. In the dry season they aren't that impressive, but they do make a pleasant spot to take a dip and cool off. You can walk up easily and by keeping dry. Bring your own food and drinks. In the rainy season access to the falls is very difficult as the authorities refuse to spend money to pave the road despite the access fee paid by tourists.

Using Banfora as a base, head towards the sugar cane fields by 4x4 but ask for directions. The signposts are well hidden and barely legible. Start at the base of the Falls or walk a section from the Domes de Fabedougou and start at the top. Either way, it is well worth the effort. Karfiguela Falls are a succession of falls and rapids. They are not particularly big but very picturesque and refreshing!
Take some water along and sunscreen, and your camera.

Millenia of water and wind erosion have created a dome-shaped cluster of rock formations. For the energetic you can climb up for a great view of the surrounding countryside. For the less mobile you can wander around and take photos.

It's simply nice, you meet a lot of people there and the people of burkina Faso are extremely friendly. They have time for visitors and willing to help. Nice place
