Shiloh Museum of Ozark History

The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History is a regional history museum focusing on the Northwest Arkansas Ozarks. The museum takes its name from the pioneer community of Shiloh, which became Springdale in the 1870s. Most of what you'll see at the museum highlights the real shapers of Ozark history - the everyday men, women, and children who lived in our towns and rural communities. Along with exhibits, you can explore six historic buildings on the museum grounds. We also have a research library with a collection of over 500,000 photographs of Ozark life.

We fell in love with this place! The museum isn't large, but is so well put together!! It shows aspects of life in Arkansas during different time periods, helping people to see how every day life changed and progressed over time. Each section has a well-maintained hands-on activity for the kids (and adults) to explore. The items on display are well protected without feeling like a boring museum. Items are documented with interesting tidbits and explanations. The employees and volunteers were kind to the children and expressed a real desire for them to learn. If visiting with kids, be sure to ask for the scavenger hunt packets! They provided a perfect way for the kids to review the exhibits and encouraged them to look closer at something they might have missed. My kids - ages 12, 10, 7, & 6 - thought they were some of the best museum scavenger hunts they'd done.

We had a group of 20at the game and rented a suite. We also ordered a food package for dinner for the group. My mother is 92 so when we parked, I asked if they could take her up to the main gate via either a wheelchair or golf cart. They were extremely accommodating and provided a golf cart and driver to take her up to the gate. The suite was very nice and clean and we had. A great view of the ballgame and festivities. The food was a bit late in arriving, but when it did arrive, there was plenty of food. The pork barbecue was especially good. The park is very accommodating to the fans and they have plenty of in game activities. Prices are very reasonable for admissions and concessions. The view from the seats is great. The post game fireworks were fantastic. Suggestion: Get seats on the third base side as you get shade earlier in the game.
