This is the only Teleferik in the north coast of Turkey. Nice and long enough to see the city. We go there in the night and it was wonderful.

This is one of the most scenic places I have visited in Turkey. The drive from Fatsa is through the mountains following the river valley. As we went in winter there was snow on the mountains adding to the beauty of the location. Once you arrive at Persembe Yaylasi, you can walk all around the lake, climb up to the viewpoint overlooking the lake and see the river meanders. At the end of the lake, you can visit the historic cemetery, tomb and kumbet mosque. There are also some waterfalls in the area and parks which make great picnic spots.

Last summer, we visited both nice lakes. We found Ulugol more calm and nature. Enjoy the nice weather that day... Uzungol is crowded and full of tourists. So, its very expensive to stay there. Its bigger and had tens of accommodation choices that u can select through. Ulugol has no hotels or any accommodation. And the road to the lake is bad (we saw alot of road constructions that might finish in the near future)
