La Gruta is a peaceful place to ruminate and enjoy the surrounding area. Several years ago, the little chapel on the top of the hill became the focus of what locals called a "miracle" when the resident priest had removed the statue of the virgin for a cleaning and discovered upon its return that a mysterious image of a floating virgin took the statues place. In front of the Jesuit built Tajamar Lake is the Reloj Publico/Clock Tower where the information center is located.
