Mountain with an emerald-green summit and vista-laden hiking trails.
The Mount Qua Qua trail has some breathtaking views! It is well worth the hike! After reading some reviews I was apprehensive about doing the trail due to descriptions of ‘narrow paths’, ‘steep drops’ and ‘cuts and bruises’. The hike was amazing and is a MUST if you are looking for a fun day out with beautiful views and some adventure. The path was not too narrow and I did the trail in 2.5hrs (round trip) without falling over or being cut by razor grass. We went on a dry day, wore long trousers, ankle wellies and found a stick to use for support. On a wet day the trail would be more challenging! As an inexperienced hiker I found the trail fairly easy and well marked. Please give it a go!

One of Grenada's most beautiful areas where a waterfall rushes down the mountainside into a large pool perfect for swimming.
We picked up a local guide on our walk in. It took us to all falls and was very helpful and informative. The trail was arduous at times and in some disrepair but the effort is worth it. Saw monkeys on the way as well.

Surrounded by a rain forest, the lake is located in an old crater some 1,700 feet above sea level.
This is a tranquil spot which we were told used to be a volcano. We watched the fish for a while before moving on to see the Mona monkeys. These were extremely tame and came down from the trees for pieces of fruit and were quite happy to be stroked.

This leisurely hour-and-a-half hike takes visitors along the scenic shoreline of Grand Etang Lake as it passes through five distinct sub-climatic communities.
Beautiful! Lush, green, easy hike, birds, lots to see! Can be muddy in areas, so wear appropriate shoes. Also, bug repellent is necessary. Worth the hike.
