Port Colborne (2016 population 18,306) is a city on Lake Erie, at the southern end of the Welland Canal, in the Niagara Region of southern Ontario, Canada. The original settlement, known as Gravelly Bay, dates from 1832 and was renamed after Sir John Colborne, a British war hero and the Lieutenant Governor of Upper Canada at the time of the opening of the (new) southern terminus of the First Welland Canal in 1833.

Our family will be starting our 3rd boating season summer at Sugarloaf and we love it. The slips and docks are in excellent shape; the washrooms, showers and other areas are very clean and up to date. All staff members are very friendly and helpful. Surrounding the marina in a a beautiful park with fantastic views of Lake Erie and its only a short walk or drive to the historic downtown shopping and dining are of Port Colborne. During the summer months there are plenty of activities to see such as the annual Canal Days which includes 100's of vendors, exhibits and live entertainment. You can tour the tour Tall Ships and watch the Sugarloaf Sailing Club fleet sail on Lake Erie or watch other boats traverse up the canal.
