Located between Glacier and Yellowstone National parks, we're a perfect stop along the route in a beautiful, historic mining town. We truly believe "The Fun Starts Here!"
This is the ONLY place that you can get the crazy gems pack (kids pack) and boy oh boy it kept my 10 and 6!year old busy for 5 hours. We bought them each a bag and they sluiced right along with us. The kids pack is filled with a variety of EASY TO SPOT large stones and fossils. Our kids were so excited with all of their finds. My 10 year old even found a 2 carat sapphire in his mix! We soon found out that NO OTHER PLACE HAS this (it’s trademarked)!!So if you go to other mines grab a bag here for the kids to take with you! It will make every mine more enjoyable! On our way back home we stopped back by to grab a few bags for the road. Anna was kind enough to print me out some rock bingo cards to take home. We are even having them cut a few stones for us ($20 + $10 shipping) which was the best price we found so far! Great first and last stop! My husband found a 3.5 carat sapphire and over 17 carats of cuttable sapphires (in one bag) we have already cracked open a kid bag with the cousins!

We were visiting Anaconda and made a quick run to Philipsburg. Absolutely loved it and highly recommend. The drive there, the candy shop, and mining experiences were so fun especially for kids of any age. A must!

Boy was this a surprise. New age micro brewery in an old historic building in smallest town possible. The town closes a side street so they can set up tables outside. Have to visit here if you like beer and good music.

The retail shop for Back Creek Pottery is now closed. You can find some of our pottery at The Meadowlark Moose in our old location or at Sherry's Bakery in downtown Philipsburg.
Shopped here during our recent stay in Philipsburg. Very talented potter. Nice variety of pottery, candles, soaps, art work and jams/jellies. The store was warm and inviting.
