A visit as allocation members back to Outpost for a tour and tasting was a highlight of our week-long trip. Sara treated us so well and we sampled all the fine wines they produce (Thomas River Brown - Winemaker): A superb hillside Zin, a beautiful 100% Grenache bottling and their awesome Cabernet Sauvignon. Also tried Cresta Velia wines from Asst Outpost Winemaker John Giannini. His own label and a great Cabernet Sauvignon from Eagle Summit vineyards next door, and his remarkable Pinot Noir from Sonoma Coast.

This is a top end winery with a terrific view. The tour itself is ok but nothing spectacular, however the view, the tasting and the wines are really good. You’ll get to taste CADE, Odette and PlumpJack wines which is nice as it becomes a one stop shop. Not cheap but if you want a splurge and spoil yourself it’s worth it.
