I was a little concerned when I booked up for 9 strong-minded 40-something guys to be locked in a small room for an hour and having to work as a team to get out (I had previously considered going with my family including a 12, 11 and 8 year old, but think it would have been too hard overall for them). I needn't have worried! From the warm welcome to the moment we left, we had a great time. When we first entered 'the room', it looked a little sparse, somewhat akin to some of my student digs from the past (albeit much cleaner). I didn't think there could possibly be enough to keep our 'clever' minds and 'highly tuned (ahem!)' bodies engaged for the full time. How wrong I was! Aside from the countless visible locks, as you delved and dug deeper, there were plenty of puzzles to solve, clues to find and things to work out to keep us all fully engaged and entertained for (almost) the full hour. Yes we did escape but, if I'm honest, only because of the few useful hints that came across the radio to point us back in the right direction. This is a fun and fairly inexpensive way to sped an afternoon or start an evening. I gather the clues change every few months, so it can be done more than once. One thing is for sure though, it has given me the bug and I will be booking up another Escape Room in the near future.

What more can you ask for? All the latest films and such amazing prices. The snacks and drinks are great value too (shame some still feel the need to sneak their own snacks in rather than supporting the cinema). Seats are comfortable and the new screen is a great addition. Looking forward to seeing their new building works complete.

We visited whilst staying at the butlins next door, perfect place to come and chill with the family, big park with plenty to do for the kids and a reasonably priced miniature railway for the whole family to enjoy!

Great fun. An excellent course with a variety of challenges and a chance to win a free round at the end. What more could you want?

We organised a day visit for our sons 12th birthday celebrations. Fairground, Splash and Papa Johns... perfect for his age and his friends! Splash was fantastic, we had heard a lot about it and it lived up to expectations and was a fabulous experience. The staff were great and we noticed how clean it has been kept. Clearly gets huge use and is busy but the cleanliness was very good and staff continually cleaning and being proactive in all areas. Lunch at Papa Johns was great and Ginnie, Martin and Emma all fan-dabi-dozi... Great fun and energy and made it very special. Butlins clearly looks after its staff well and this is reflected in their approach to their work. Thoroughly recommend for a great day out for kids!
