The Hawk Conservancy Trust is an award winning visitor attraction set in 22 acres of woodland and wildflower meadow, there are over 130 birds of prey on view, from the tiny Pygmy Owl to the impressive Steller's Sea Eagles! Many of these birds are involved in the spectacular daily flying displays in one of the three flying arenas, whilst others are part of important breeding or environmental enrichment projects. Every visitor can meet a British bird of prey and there are extra activities during weekends and school holidays. The Hawk Conservancy Trust is a conservation charity with a mission to conserve birds of prey. The Trust has worked in the fields of conservation, education, rehabilitation and research of birds of prey for many years.
I used my Birthday Gift Voucher yesterday to visit the Trust and my wife and I came away raving about the place. The site is well laid out with visitors facilities and shop at the front of the site and various birds to see in a number of different aviaries and enclosures beyond. There was ample parking for us but as we went on a week day the Trust was not that busy so it might be different at the weekend. We were treated to interesting talks by enthusiastic, friendly and knowledgeable staff and stunning flying displays from a variety of birds of prey, including eagles, owls and vultures. In the case of the latter, the Trust are particularly keen to educate people about the plight of vultures in the wild and to improve their public image. Although the staff were great it was our feathered friends who were the stars. A great Birthday Gift.

Treerunners is an exciting, challenging and sometimes demanding activity that uses zip lines, snowboards and tarzan swings as well as other challenges to get you from tree to tree. Set in a beautiful oak forest, it is the perfect day out for families, birthday parties, hens, stags, first dates (or last) and school trips. You don’t have to go up with the kids! (unlike other courses). On both our Junior course and Adult course we use safety systems that make it impossible to unclip from the safety line which leaves you free to either join them or chill out with a coffee on the ground.

Well worth the money and with a briefing beforehand and everything explained, your not there to set lap records but to have fun and learn. Loads of viewing points for the family to watch me drive, Will be returning v.soon.

Located in the heart of the Test Valley in Hampshire, just outside the beautiful town of Stockbridge and just 30 minutes from the historic cathedral cities of Salisbury and Winchester, the Cottonworth vineyards are just part of the home of the Liddell family who have been farming there for four generations. Hugh Liddell runs the wine enterprise, having planted the family's first vines in 2005 after working for a wine producer in Burgundy, France. He worked on vineyards in New Zealand and South Africa before attending Plumpton College to gain a degree in Viticulture and Oenology. He is supported by general manager Federico Firino who also attended Plumpton gaining a degree in Wine Business. In addition to its vineyards, the farm provides a haven for fishing and wildlife. Cottonworth use the traditional method to produce high quality English sparkling wine from the three classic varieties: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier.Tours are £55 for two people.
