Joe Diamond is the Mystery Performer everyone is quietly talking about. Some call him a mind reader, others call him psychic, and still more call him a magician. You now have the chance to decide for yourself, up close and personal! Only 13 people will be admitted to his studio in the 'supposedly haunted' Dole Mansion in Crystal Lake for this unique experience. “If you don’t already worship at the feet of Joe Diamond, you should really get on board.” - Varla Ventura, author of “Beyond Bizarre” "Joe Diamond is the Devil" - WGN News "I am totally floored" - You & Me This Morning "That's impossible!" - The Today Show It doesn't matter if you are a believer or a skeptic, we predict you will have a good time!
If you live anywhere around Crystal Lake, his show is a must see. He leaves the intimate crowd w/stunned, confused expressions. Everyone is included in his show so you feel engaged while trying to figure out how in the heck he just did that. Thank you, Joe, for a great escape from winter!!!

My fiancee and I have had the good fortune of attending the Raue Center For The Arts twice in the last several years - both times for concerts by Matthew and Gunnar Nelson. Our most recent visit was for their "Christmas With The Nelsons" performance, and visiting the Raue reminded me why I like this theater so much. From its friendly and helpful staff members to the absolute beauty of the theater itself, this is most definitely a hidden gem in the Chicagoland area. Its size is intimate enough for you to enjoy the show without feeling like you're in a sea of humanity, and the two shows I've attended have had great sound (though, to be fair, we were always at or near the front of the stage; I can't speak for how it might sound in the balcony). The seats are comfortable, even for plus-sized people like myself. If there is any negative, it's that the restrooms are located on the second floor of the theater - but this is a very minor point (and they are accessible via elevator for those who cannot maneuver staircases). I have yet to be disappointed by a trip to the Raue, and hope to be returning there very soon.

The beach is crystal clear and clean. The facilities are all new. When you go over by the wakeboard park, there is a restaurant and a bar area. It's a nice place to watch the sun go down or sit and enjoy the sun during the day.

Along with a healthy dose of local pride, we're passionate about brewing a better beer. Honest, accessible, thirst-provoking beer, created with attention to quality and taste reminiscent of a simpler time when craftsmanship was king. Beer that is easy to drink and hard to put down.
