This is by far the best “rest area” ever. About 1/2 mile off I-75 south of Lexington. It’s exceptionally clean, with a staffed information desk, nice bathrooms, and a great selection of local arts and craft items for sale. There’s also a cafe that offers very reasonably priced hot meals, as well as snacks and drinks, with both indoor and outdoor seating. We’ll definitely stop here again the next time we’re driving through.

This area has been a go to since I was a little girl. With lots of trees, butterflies, mushrooms, turtles, and other small animals, the environment is always thriving. These hikes are moderate, varying in times and lengths to complete. This is a popular nature spot in Berea and is recommended for any outdoor lover. I recommend good hiking shoes, and bringing along water as any of these trails are sure to get your heart pumping. The best views are found upon the Indian fort lookout, and the East pinnacle. Dogs are welcome, but leashes are highly appreciated. Enjoy, stay safe, & respect your surroundings ????

The welcome center and Artisan Center at this stop was well worth the time and look at all the beautiful artists works displayed and that you could buy
