Spent a few mornings exploring here. I was lucky to see so many wildflowers and even though it was very dry the vegetation is coming back after the fires. Lots of bird life and kangaroos.

At Twisted Gum Wines we craft small quantities of premium quality single vineyard wines from our hand-tended dry grown Granite Belt vineyard. You will receive a warm welcome when you visit our stylish cellar door, located in a classic 1920's Queenslander with wrap-around verandahs on three sides, with views to the vineyards and hills beyond. Our cellar door is open weekends 10am to 4pm and also by appointment. Come experience our full flavoured crisp white wines, our hugely popular Pink Moscato and our signature deep inky-purple red wines - you are sure to find something to excite your palate. Twisted Gum Cottage Twisted Gum Cottage is the perfect place to spend the weekend when you are visiting the Granite Belt. This friendly 1920's farm cottage is located in the centre of our vineyard. It has a beautiful outlook, a toasty wood fire, three generous bedrooms and much more.
We thoroughly enjoyed our wine tasting with the owners of this beaut little winery in Ballandean. Twisted Gum's wines are also splendid - we bought a few cases. Highly recommend booking a tasting.

Fabulous cellar door - the owner is hilarious (as is the menu) and the wine is delicious. Highly recommend the sauvignon blanc (or Savi B as it's known), the prosecco and the temperanillo - YUM!

We visited this delightful winery on our day long tour with Granite Highlands Maxi Tours and it was the highlight of our day, the wines were stunning, both whites and reds, plus the exceptional Sparkling Shiraz , we left the place with lighter wallets and wines that we look forward to consuming in our home environment and will be ordering more. The hosts Deb and Robert were knowledgeable and imparted some of that to our group of 12 who tried nearly all the wines on offer (all 12 purchased wines here) a first for the day, and we were on our 5th vineyard out of 6. Can't recommend this place highly enough, the quality on offer for a reasonable price was an eye opener for us, we will be back .

A very relaxed environment but the food was on par with anything in Brisbane. A lovely set of choices on the menu and not limited to the usual fare you can sometimes get outside the metropolitan areas. The staff were friendly and attentive and knew the menu in terms of sourcing etc. Loved the wines and genuinely and pleasantly surprised with the quality and the price - extraordinary value given the quality. The Puglisi should be proud of this eterprise.
