We discovered Lego Masters USA/AUS during our lockdown in NZ. Once we started travelling again we came across Spike’s Bricks and Models whilst driving up into the Coromandel. If you are in the area and have any interest in Lego at all this place is Lego Heaven! The owner is a great guy, very warm, friendly and enthusiastic and prepared to spend time with visitors, giving you a guided tour of his collection, which is vast and varied. We had a great time in every room and even had a Technics vehicle remote car race to complete the experience. 62 years old and I loved it!

This activity was given a top rating in the NZ Lonely Planet. There were 3 of us, all adults, who really enjoyed the whole experience. Well laid out with lots of interactive displays giving a wealth of information about the gold mining in this town. Spent most of our morning here. The I-Site staff are very welcoming and helpful.

We visited the Waihi Visitor Information Centre as part of the Waihi Gold Mine tour. The ladies were very helpful. Then days later helped our daughter who was stuck waiting for a bus to Thames.
