Cannot speak highly enough about this experience! Our cooking instructor was Nai and she was incredible from the moment we met! She was very organized and right away helped my group of 3 decide which dishes we wanted to make. We easily navigated the market carrying fun woven baskets to pick up all the ingredients we needed. Then once back at the school we got right to work. She was very patient and took her time to describe each step in making spring rolls, 3 different types of soup, 2 different curries, and pad thai. The food was delicious! We couldn’t believe that we made it ourselves. An added bonus was Nai was careful to adjust the recipes to accommodate my shellfish allergy and my friends vegetarian diet. After class you receive a very nice cooking book so that you can practice to recreate the meals we made together. Would definitely recommend this cooking class!

My friend and I took a cooking class with Auntie Orn in May 2019. Auntie Orn was very knowledgeable, friendly, and kind, and she is a great cook! The food we made with her was the best most delicious food we had during our three weeks in Thailand. She does private classes which is so nice because you get one on one instruction and it is a more personal experience.

We go to Chiang Mai every New Year, and this time we decided we should sign up for a few out-of-the-city activities. We both love Thai food (who doesn't?) so we searched around for a cookery course/event. Quite by chance we found this place and signed up for the morning course. It was better in every way than we expected it to be! We were collected at our hotel in Chiang Mai at about 830am by a very friendly guy and a driver in a minibus. The friendly guy turned out to be our instructor for the day (by the name of Gobby, I think) ... and as well as making cooking Thai dishes easy he was great fun. The venue itself is impressive ... well laid-out with several pavillion-style building containing individual cooking stations for about a dozen people. Although there were people of many nationalities in our group, we all soon became friends and good fum was had by all! As well as cooking several styles of dishes, you get to eat each one (so don't have a big breakfast!) and also you get to walk around the beautiful outside spaces and look at the ingredients growing. A fantastic activity ... highly recommended !!
