The town is around 12 miles (19 km) south east of Middlesbrough, and the ward of Saltburn had a population of 5,912 at the 2001 Census, increasing slightly to 5,958 at the 2011 census.

This birthday treat from my big sis did not disappoint! Jonny was amazing & I was so relaxed I fell asleep in minutes (apologies if there was some snoring!). I will definitely be back when I visit home next for another treat. Thank you! :)

A fabulous indoor play centre, for children of all ages (and the adults love it too!) With hours of entertainment, good quality food and beverages. Its a great place to visit, kids having fun, tiring themselves out whilst parents can sit and relax with a nice coffee and a paper. Admission included a FREE tea or coffee for me and FREE juice AND fruit ( banana, apple, orange or cup of mixed fresh fruit) for my grandson. Big play areas, clean toilets, lots of tables and chairs, really good choice on the menu - all reasonably priced and portions are enormous compared to other soft play places we have visited. Food was all cooked fresh and the staff were really friendly and helpful, Would definitely recommend and will be going back again.

Fascinating museum with significant collections of Captain Cook prints, artifacts, local history including Staithes School of artists of late 19th and early 20th century. Kept open by volunteers who are raising fund to buy the museum to keep it open. Free but deserving of financial contribution. Very interesting to anyone with variety of exhibits.
