I had never had Thai before I discovered Thai Sakon and I honestly canât believe what Iâve been missing. We have been visiting now for around 5 years fairly frequently. The food and the service is exceptional - the sweetcorn fritters especially and the curry has a lovely kick to it and loads of flavour. They always go out of their way on special occasions with a special dessert even when we havenât booked it as being an occasion just when theyâve spotted a card being exchanged or whatever. We prefer the red room as I think it is quieter than the other room. My only slight criticism is that the tables are huge and so itâs hard to hear the person sat opposite you but this is great for when the food comes as thereâs loads of room. We couldnât get in recently as we wanted to visit last minute so ended up at another Thai nearby and whilst it was nice it wasnât a patch on Thai Sakon. Iâm looking forward to my next visit!

Visited Touch of Thai recently. 5pm table, but by 6.30pm it was packed - on a Wednesday! Small place and rural setting (just off the main road), but by heck, what a find! Off-road parking is available. Delicious starters and mains. Only one choice of dessert, but that was not an issue as it was superb (mango with coconut rice pudding). Very reasonable prices and the young ladies who served us were very good servers indeed.Will definitely return!

We eat here pretty regularly and have never been disappointed. It is our favourite place to eat in Huddersfield. Jennifer and her staff are always friendly and attentive and the food is just to die for! Attached below are some photos of the delicious sushi Jennifer has prepared for us on past visits.We went last night for my other half's birthday in a party of 8. Jennifer explained that they'd had some staffing problems which meant only her husband was in the kitchen but boy he cooked up a storm! We all loved our starters and mains and were happy to wait as the food was delicious. The sushi was fresh and tasty and I sampled some of the new items on the menu. Everything was wonderful and the birthday boy left very happy and full!!We love you TJs!

Having had a first visit with colleagues for lunch a few months ago, I decided to book at table for a return visit with a friend who isn't very familiar with Thai food.We were very warmly welcomed, and seated, and given plenty of time to go through the menu. We shared some tasty starters, and ordered our mains. My friend loved the sea bass, with its delicate flavours, and I enjoyed my curry very much. Everything is freshly prepared and the taste reflects fresh ingredients. The descriptions of the level of chilli heat was accurate we thought. The service is friendly, unobtrusive, and timed well, we felt. We booked for a very early Saturday evening meal, and it was very quiet when we arrived. But as more diners arrived there was just a nice amount of low-level buzz (great for my friend who doesn't like places too busy and noisy) We really enjoyed our meal, and felt unrushed. Having had an excellent experience on our first visit, the acid test is always whether standards are maintained in subsequent visits. Having now returned to Just Thai for a second and third visit in fairly quick succession weâre pleased to say that this was indeed the case. Our second visit was on a Sunday lunchtime and the atmosphere was relaxed, the staff friendly, and the food once again first rate. The third was last night which was a busy Saturday session. As a previous reviewer has mentioned the food took longer to arrive but it transpired a large group had arrived late early in the evening immediately putting the kitchen under pressure. Despite this though the staff remained calm, friendly and efficient with several apologies for the delay. Under the circumstances we felt the whole team reacted extremely well and, most importantly, the food was still top class. Weâll be booking in again in the near future.
