We have dined at Sisters on our occasional visits to Fairfax. Unfortunately, our latest dinner was somewhat disappointing. A chicken satay arrived raw in the middle. There was also some confusion on other orders, perhaps because we were there are a busy Saturday evening. Previous visits were superb.

I was introduced to this great little restaurant by family and friends who work at the nearby Fairfax County government complex. We have been many times, for lunch and dinner, and frequently get take-out as well. ALWAYS a very nice experience with excellent service (genuinely Thai--courteous, gracious, cheerful), authentic dishes, and quaint (but simple) setting. Try them out. I'm sure you'll be pleased. Please note if this review was helpful.

Maybe the kitchen has had a change but it wasn't what we're used to getting here. All three dishes seemed smaller and skimpier on the high end ingredients. Hopefully that was a one time blip and things return to past experience and expectations.

This place is located in a University community serving George Mason University in Fairfax VA. The restaurant is located inside a modernized, open shopping mall that has a number of establishments close together and provides a walkway that threads itself amongst the establishments.Parking is easy and plentiful. You can approach either on Route 123 or Braddock Road. The restaurant is small and cozy and has plate glass windows that overlook the mall. The service is quite quick.I ordered the Pad Thai off the lunch menu. I had asked for it to be mildly spicy and it came in just right. It was a little too sweet for my taste. The Pad Thai had chicken and shrimp Thin rice noodles stir fried with shrimp, chicken, egg, ground peanut, bean sprouts and green onion. The portion was sufficient for a lunch menu though my companions ordered different dishes and got what seemed to be smaller helpings. I also ordered the Vietnamese/Thai style iced coffee which was strong with condensed milk added and swirling to create a whitecap that slowly blended with the brown of the coffee and the ice cubes. The food is definitely value priced and a outing for two without alcohol can come in under twenty bucks. They do serve Beer and Wine and the prices for alcohol are quite reasonable. All in all - a nice place for a date or a quick business lunch meeting in a university type atmosphere.
