Due to a scheduling issue, we could not go to Otoro for the Osen and had to stay in Shiretokoshari; this was one of the restaurant recommended by the tourist center, from the exterior, it's probably the most decent looking establishment around the area. Once we entered, we were greeted by a friendly old chef who unfortunately did not speak much English. Unfortunately as well, the menu did not have any English translation however they did have plastic models of their dishes and we used that to order dinner. We ordered their premium sushi and weren't disappointed. Sushi was extremely fresh and we'll balanced, it's designed by the chef to have wasabei inside the sushi so warned if you can't take wasabei. My friend and I agree this is the best sushi we have taken in Japan comparable to the ones we had in Otaru except that the prices here are extremely affordable, for the high quality of the Sushi we had, total bill came up to 3000 Yen for 2 pax, in other tourist establishment, the bill would have come up much more. In summary, if you are in Shiretokoshari and looking for dinner (not sure if they open for lunch); this is the place to go for affordable premium sushi.

After driving a distance from Mombetsu to Abashiri, Tsuki is a good place for a stop for lunch or so and the food is of good quality. There is a car park outside the restaurant so it's convenient for car travellers. The picture menu is user-friendly for tourists who don't know Japanese. The sushi is fresh and tasty. Besides sushi, other hot dishes are also quite good such as steak.

The last supper in Shiretoko. So i tried to do something interesting, memorable, and different from hotel buffets. Sometimes everyday buffets can be tiring and less interesting, easy to over eat.I looked for seafood restaurant near by. Although i had a particular eatery in mind, it was booked the whole kitchen this evening. So i had to Google again!I tried walked by Prince Hotel, which also only offer buffet style. Then, my Google found this place. During the day time, all shops including this seafood restaurant seem CLOSED. So i worried even before i got there. As i see the light on! I made up my mind.åºèº«å®é£ãããã ãã¾ãããµã¤ããªã®ãã¯åããã¾ãããæºè¶³æã¯ããã¾ããã ãã¦ãã¡ãã³ã£ã¨ããã¿ãä¸æãªã©ãããç·æ§ã ã£ãããç©è¶³ããªãï¼æãã質ã®è¯ããã®ã°ãããªã®ããªè¯ããã®ã¯ãããªã®ã«å¤æ®µãããã®ã§ããããå¤é£ããããåºèº«å®é£ã«ããã¤ããã®ã§ãæé£ããã馳走ãã¾
Recommended by Fodor's Guide, we tried this restaurant for a September lunch. Fodor's suggested crab curry but it was not available. I had a nice sashimi and my husband had pork donburi. It was not as recommended but the restaurant was fine and we enjoyed our lunch.
