Remember when Tepanyaki used to serve fried rice and noodles with your meal? You would leave with a box full of food? Those days are no more. Hadn't been here in years, but came back because we got a gift certificate, and left pretty disappointed. We got the Filet mignon and chicken.Filet is still delicious and very tender.Vegetables were crunchy, which I like, but the onion was undercooked. The chicken is both light and dark meat, so if you don't like both, be prepared to ask. I was very disappointed that we had to pay extra for fried rice and noodles, which they used to just give. Ultimately, you are paying about $30 per person to eat here. Seems that Tepanyaki has lost it's way in a world of money grubbers. I remember leaving with leftovers, but there wasn't anything left.Food was good, but with how much they charge, we won't be back.

Found a good sushi place open on Sunday night. Extensive choices on menu ranging in price from $5-$10. Got one $10, one $6 and one $5 and each one was really, really good. Unique flavor combos and excellent sauces. Generous sized rolls. Filled 2 of us quite well. Service attentive. We will definitely be going back to try other rolls.

My husband and I love to try restaurants new to us. Sakana is just such a place. We were delighted with the friendly, attentive service and classy Japanese food. My husband had the salad and Teriyaki Chicken and Shrimp Tempura combination dinner. I had the Miso Soup and Rib Eye Steak with Vegetable Coquette dinner. Both of us were delighted with the quality and good taste of our dinners. When we first arrived, I tried the edamame that is one each table. It too was great. Sakana's menu is quite complete. It includes appetizers, specialty salads, soup, specialty rolls, entrees, combination plates, maki sushi, vegetable rolls, nigiri and sashimi combos, nigiri sushi, sashimi, a lunch menu with appetizers, entrees, bento boxes, a kid's menu, beverages (both alcoholic and non- alcoholic), and desserts. The restaurant was spotlessly clean. There was plenty of parking, as it is in Jordan Landing Shop. Ctr. Its hours are: M-TH lunch, 11: 30 AM to 2: 30 PM and dinner from 4: 30 -9: 30 PM; F lunch (same as above) and dinner from 4: 30-10: 30 PM; Sat 12 -10 PM; Sun. 4: 30-8: 30 PM. The décor is simply Japanese and pleasant.

My wife and I just love this place for a variety of reasons. Number one: The hostess Nancy is phenomenal. Friendly, helpful (always remembers my wife doesn't like the green onions in her mushroom soup etc.) The servers are also friendly and helpful. The sushi rolls are also great, and there are MANY MANY MANY of them. Some of the best ones are off menu like the Big Mike, Mango Salad, Jalapeno Salad, or Sushi Hot Dog (no it doesn't have hot dog in it, rather it has Salmon, Mango and other goodness!). Best part is you can just ask the head sushi chef Ken to make you something good and he will create something new for you on the spot.Love this place!

We didn't know what to expect before coming to King Buffet in Taylorsville, UT to eat. Much to our pleasure, my husband and I found a wonderful variety of Asian foods from which to choose. The staff was welcoming, and seeing that we are partially handicapped led us to a table where we could easily access the food tables. I'm a fish and seafood lover and found a wonderful selection of my favorites. I also love sushi and enjoyed that too. It's easy to take too much here, but both of us resisted taking more than we could eat. My husband loves Mongolian BBQ and found it at King Buffet too. Since I don't want to eat all fried foods, there were plenty of selections that were baked/roasted and steamed for me. Desserts, including a chocolate fountain for children, are also available. The rooms are nicely decorated with Asian decor, and our only complaint is that the comfortably padded chairs were difficult to move in and out from the table. Application of some metal gliders on the legs would solve this problem. There was plenty of parking, including some handicapped places in the shopping area where King Buffet is located. The place is kept clean, and bathrooms are easily accessed off one side of the food floor. They too are clean. The staff remove used plates and silverware, and they enable you to pay when you are finished at your table. If you are in the mood for a great selection of Asian foods, King Buffet is the place for you!
