Went for a family meal 6 of us and the food is beautiful. I had to wait a wile for my starter of baby ribs and was taken off the bill because of this but was worth waiting for. I then had the Mac and cheese was a massive portion and was so tasty with bread and bits on the side, I ordered sweet potato fries on the side but was too much to eat. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere will be returning soon.

Time to visit the Duke of York following their refurbishment earlier this year with our friends from Stafford. The main lounge has been updated and very nicely decorated. Our table was booked 'on-line" which was useful and all reserved when we arrived. They have a nice choice of menu from which we choose a main course and dessert. As on previous occasions, the quality of food and service was truly excellent.

and not a bad one i have to say, this is a little gem of a pub, rather unusual, on entering you find it still has quite a quaint little seating area at the end of the bar with comfortable sofas and low level tables, where you may also choose to eat your meal, it was a Tuesday evening quite early when we arrived to find that they have a home made pie night, all very good with generous portions, the staff are all very friendly.

Outstanding food with lovely decor and very comfortable surroundings. Me and my husband both had 2 courses and they were both exquisite. I had the haggis and black pudding stack to start which was stunning and my hubby had the homemade mushroom soup. For mains i had the chicken balmoral and my husband had the scampi. The staff were so helpful and friendly. We arrived early but we were seated straight away. It was a lovely meal. It was worth every penny. We are going back again next time with our daughter to try it.
