Find out what Steakhouse restaurants to try in Porto. The town that gave the country (and port wine) its very name, Porto is Portugal’s second-largest metropolis after Lisbon. Sometimes called Oporto, it's an age-old city that has one foot firmly in the industrial present. The old town, centered at Ribeira, was built on the hills overlooking the Douro River, and today is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The 14th-century São Francisco church is a main attraction, as are the local port wine cellars, mostly located across the river at Vila Nova de Gaia.

Simply amazing! The food is superb and what makes this restaurant stand out is the service. The staff could not have done more to ensure we had the best experience celebrating our 10th Wedding Anniversary. Will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you for creating a life time memory for us on this special occasion! âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸âï¸

What a find. We made a reservation by phone a day beforehand. Reserving a table is recommended and therefore will avoid disappointment. A small quaint restaurant which adds to the atmosphere along with the front of house who is highly attentive, funny and very welcoming without being over bearing. Service is impeccable which is matched by the good they serve. Meat is high on the agenda here and this is why we went. We went all out for the tomahawk steak at â¬53 and two sides of Vegetables and chorizo rice. We were not disappointed. Most of the dishes are sharing dishes for two and this choice was more than enough for us both. The steak was perfectly seasoned, veg perfect and the rice was beautiful. No room for deserts but others around us had deserts and the looked great. A couple of glasses of port on the house completed a memorable experience in this restaurant. All local restaurants could learn from Bota & Bira. This restaurant may not be large but the customer experience is top of their agenda from the service they provide to the food they serve. Thanks Bota & Bira for providing us with the best meal in Porto.

Best 4 dishes you can taste, from meat to cod fish. Good atmosphere and great portuguese service.
We had a very good dinner, starting with clumps and typical Portuguese sheep cheese. One of our colleague is vegan and she doesnât find difficulties with the menu, even if it is a steak house, typical Portuguese vegetables were delicious (we ordered a second portion just to make you understand!)Meat was amazing, in particular I recommend the angus one (it is one of the main suggestions in the menu). Wine the same: good and rich choice, we started with a Verde one for the appetizers and then we chosen a red one (see foto) for the meat.Personnel was particularly friendly. We really enjoy our stay. For sure, when I will come back to Porto, I will visit them again!

Turned up at 7 (not before because they are closed and it would be ridiculous to expect them to open just for you) we were politely seen to a lovely table, brought two amazing apéritifs which were on the house! Then we had the lomo which was absolutely amazing, one of the best steaks Iâve ever had. Prices are wonderful, staff are professional, will try and visit again before our holiday is over! Oh and the atmosphere in the restaurant was gorgeous! Thank you.
