I have frequented this gem on multiple occasions. If you have never tried Nicaraguan food, think Argentinian and you will not be far off. Beautiful and unusual decor, indoor and outdoor seating in the heart of Miami Lakes. The food is great, the service is excellent and the experience is wonderful. Moderately priced.

We went the the MIA airport location of Shula's and were rather disappointed, We sat at the bar, but went unacknowledged for some time, even though the bartender did not seem very busy. We ordered a Diet Coke AND a vodka rocks with lime ... he gave us one glass of Diet Coke WITH vodka and lime in it... um, NOT! He dumped that drink and gave us the two drinks that we ordered, but he really should have apologized and comped the drinks. Instead he acted put out that we "did not order clearly". REALLY? When do two people drink one Diet Coke with vodka and lime?

The Caesar salad was good. French onion soup was also good. Filet was ordered blacken but was not. Meat was dry and tough. There was no seasoning nor sauce. 6 oz filet came with two sides for $36. Garlic green beans and baked potato was fair. Service was good. Free valet is available with restaurant validation. Menu offers steaks, sandwiches, and main salads.

Our server was great Yoandris. We asked for a free blooming onion and got it. Their french onion soup was a better recipe than the other Outbacks, no Rosemary Spice which I hate. We ordered the $15.00 Steak and Lobster everything was delicious and steaks cooked perfect medium rare.

When you see the location of this restaurant from the outside, you cannot imagine that this attractive restaurant is sitting right inside. It looks like a small plaza but, when you go inside, you are pleasantly surprised by this quant place. The lights are slightly dimmed, just perfect for privacy or a romantic dinner. I love that there is a separate section, aside from the main dining area, that looks to be an addition - sort of like an enclosed patio. I cannot say that their service was not great. Actually, the waitress was very on top of things, even though she was new. As for the most important part - the food - it was really good and appetizing. We have been to this restaurant a couple of times before and loved it, but we leave it for special occasions, as the tab is not cheap.Hi Roadtripist, thank you so much for sharing your experience with us!
