En un entorno bucólico. Varios ambientes, gran salón, comedor, bar, terrazas. Cocina tradicional vasca y parrilla.
Happened across this simple cantina on a day's drive through Basque Spain - a basic menu of tapas and several delicious looking tortillas on display. Drank local wine, ate croquettes of jam and salt cod, the carnivore among us loved the slices of gelatinous pigs trotters and I adored the flash-fried tiny squid. The baccalau tortilla topped with fried green peppers was the pick though! The helpful waitress spoke enough English to make up for our complete lack of Spanish and really worked at making sure we understood each other and got what we wanted. Highly recommended!

Wonderful service and food in this converted traditional Basque house in a neighborhood in Hondarribia. We had the monkfish and the red prawns, both cooked simply and to perfection. We also shared a foie appetizer and a lovely bottle of red Rioja. Wonderful setting and most other guests were Spanish. English is spoken as well as English menus.

We decided to have lunch here as all the pinxtos bars were very crowded. The service was very friendly and helpful. Menus are available in English. Being a coastal town, seafood is the specialty of this restaurant and it is quite generous in its servings. One of us had a slow cooked beef high was very tasty, but not very generous.
