Street grill and friends are the favorite place to grill and chill, located in the heart of the city of Bandung (Cihampelas street), where superbly aged steaks & joints of meat are all grilled in the wood fired Josper oven. The menu includes a selection o
This restaurant is pretty close to our hotel in Bandung and received positive reviews on TripAdvisor, so we thought we'd give it a try. Two of us ordered tenderloin (96,000 IDR) and I ordered the rack of lamb (145,000 IDR). The meals came with fries, sauteed mushrooms, and onion rings. The steaks were good, the mushrooms, fries, and onion rings were fine, but my lamb was at least 75% fat and I left most of it on the plate. When the waiter came to clear away our dishes, he could see the amount of food I did not eat but did not inquire as to the reason.

About one week ago, I ordered well done terderloin steak, came as medium rare. I called the waiter and he offered to recook it without saying sorry or anything else, just seem tired or annoyed that a customer called him. Recooked tenderloin steak still came as medium rare. I could taste the faint smell of blood when I bite it. I called another waiter, complained about the steak and the attitude of the waiter before. He said sorry and offered to cook again but I refused. At this state, they should offer me a new steak instead of recook it (are you gonna recook it until I get what I order, really?). This is my third time came here and this time I'm pretty disappointed since I paid for the food and service that I didn't like. I'm not sure if I will come here again.

The server so flat , not friendly , he's not suggesting anything for us , like steak with kind of sauce , what kind of sauce , he's not smile enough , i can't tell his name cause maybe almost half of server do the same way like he does. The steak is delicious , the price is worth it . The server not pay attention at a detail things like an ashtray , or welcoming guest , i know its crowded but at least they ask us for the table number or just say good evening , and that is a bad thing in hospitality , you need to concern on this dear restaurant manager. One more thing , your staff refill our bottle of tomato ketchup in front of the guest , you know the rules , that guest must not see a thing like that. Thank you . Overall bad service but the food absolutely delicious.

We stopped here for lunch as the pictures looked nice and the place seemed quite popular. I ordered the sizzling teriyaki salmon and my wife ordered the sizzling pepper rice with a side order of mashed potato and some ice creams and iced lemon tea and iced Milo for drinks. The food was alright although we both found it a bit too dry. The mashed potato was not very nice, and the drinks were as expected. However, the food didn't really seem Japanese to us. The bill was around Rp260,000, and usually for half that price we can eat some delicious Sundanese or Padang food for all the family. So while the food was alright, when taking into account other more delicious foods in the city of Bandung and the slightly expensive price, I think we may not visit again.
