We first visited about 2 years ago and were impressed. Portion sizes were large and it was good value for money. We were full to bursting when we left. This time was a different story. The sharing Nachos were in my opinion good for one. The mains were a lot smaller and the price has gone through the roof. 60 quid for a starter, two mains and two rounds of drinks (two of which were coke) is simply a rip off. Being a regular visitor to US and visiting BBQ shacks, the flavour just didnât do it for me. To the point of being bland. Wonât be visiting again any time soon. Seems they are living on there past reputation. I was on a business trip for two nights with my colleague staying at the Premier Inn next door and had breakfast there on the two mornings 18th and 19th September. I visit a lot of these places on my journeys around the UK but I have to say this is the best one by far. Why? Well its early morning around 6.30am to 7am so not everyone is a happy bunny until you come across the man who served myself and my colleague. The chap's name is Phil. A top man who was a ray of sunshine, happy, cheerful and amusing. Absolutely set us up for the day. Not only that but the breakfast was top notch courtesy of Craig in the kitchen who made this particular fussy individual a breakfast absolutely to order. This establishment should be proud of having these guys working there.

Met up at Firejacks with friends for a birthday party and were made to feel special throughout the whole evening. Fantastic menu choice - delicious food that was beautifully presented - brilliant atmosphere with just the right level of music and a "buzz" to the place - and our waitress was AMAZING! We had a 4 month old baby with us as part of the group and we were really nervous about crying and the noise to other diners - but fortunately little one didn't even murmur - so we had plenty of time to catch up with each other and nothing was too much trouble for Aga the waitress - it really made the evening and she was a great ambassador of the brand. My steak was just brilliant and my friends ribs were the best he had eaten he said - and he is a chef - so that speaks volumes. Highly recommended - and if you are lucky you might get Aga as your waitress and have the best evening ever. Brilliant 10/10

My wife, her cousin and I stopped in for lunch on Sunday, and despite not having any reservation, were shown immediately to a table. We were very impressed by the décor, lovely atmosphere and super-efficient friendly staff. The lunches were perfectly prepared and served within a very short time of placing our orders.Excellent service by Priscilla and we can highly recommend a visit to Miller & Carter at Hockley Heath.Hello! We were staying in Coventry over a weekend and wanted a traditional Sunday lunch.A number of people recommend The Artisan and we weren't disappointed.We booked late and they fitted us in. Drinks downstairs first ,a choice of over 100 gins and good atmosphere as there was a baby shower in one room!Upstairs large restaurant with friendly staff . Two roast beefs with the trimmings,lovely Yorkshire puds. Best beef we have eaten in a long time comes from The Meat man Warwick, leamington and London. In a city where there are so many chain restaurants The Artisan is a welcome change.Thank you Chris, hopefully see you next time you are in Coventry.
