We stopped on our way to Florida because it was a half way point and we frequent the Superior in Shreveport. Unfortunately we expected the same amazing food the Shreveport location has to offer and Baton Rouge didn't deliver. The hot sauce didnt taste right and the lack of delicious sweet tea was down right upsetting. Overall the food was good and the service and ambiance was as expected.

Tried Tio Javiâs for a late lunch. It was surprisingly busy on Saturday afternoon. The chips and salsa starters are very good. Great number of menu choices. The margaritas are a tad pricey but good. Service was friendly and generally very good. Would try again!

Recently dined at Aztecas and had the avocado salad, it was delicious. My friend enjoyed his food also.

An unique third generation restauranteur offering Mexican cuisine with a Louisiana flair. Great bar and atmosphere that is perfect for a date night or family gathering. One of a kind cocktails and cuisine. Happy Hour drinks and bites everyday 2pm to 6pm.
My friends took me for lunch to celebrate my birthday.. I had the Power Bowl minus the cheese along with the sweet potato mash on the side. Fantastic. My friends had the crawfish tacos and enchiladas and thought they were excellent. My husband took me back for dinner on my actual birthday. I had the same bowl and it was just as good.I am on a plant based diet with no oil so I am happy to find good food I can eat. I highly recommend Mestizos.
