This is a much-better-than average Central Peruvian restaurant. The food is prepared with imagination and offers more than the usual Pollo a la braso (grilled chicken) and Aji de Gallina. You can even get food without rice or french fries, if you ask. It's a refreshing break from the ordinary. And we've never gotten sick from eating here.

Many times restaurants located in hotels leave a lot to be desired. This is not the case, even if you don´t stay at the Los Portales hotel, if you are un Tarma, you must eat here!Lunch or dinner are best. Service is superb, courteous and attentive but know when to get out of the way for a romantic conversation.

So nice to come into this bar!! Fireplace makes for a nice atmosphere. Good music. The BEST drinks and service by bartender Rosario! She is wonderful!! Speaks English, too! I've been visiting this bar twice a year for almost 10 years!! I would not visit Tarma without going here and relaxing with a drink and appetizers!!

Regresando de Pozuzo llegamos un poco tarde a Tarma, en el hotel nos recomendaron este chifa pues ya no deseábamos comida regional. Está ubicado en la calle Lima, la más comercial de Tarma, en un segundo piso con una entrada adornada con temas chinos al igual que el segundo piso, me recordó un poco los chifas antiguos de Lima.La carta variada ofreciendo lo tradicional en un chifa de su categorÃa, los precios bastante cómodos y los porciones bien servidas. Creo sin temor equivocarme que es el mejor restaurante de comida china de la ciudad
