Opens at 0600 hours and gets crowded with locals and family! Ordered the raw beef Pho with beef balls. It tastes awesome! The soup base is wonderfully prepared, tasty broth and clear! One of the best pho I have tasted in a while! Recommended for all Pho lovers! it taste better than In Vietnam itself. Price is mid range with a generous portion of fresh beef! The dripped coffee with condensed milk tastes wonderful. Ambience is minimal, go for a quick meal!

We are a KOREAN restaurant that specializes in a variety of "SunDuBu" (A.K.A. Soft-tofu soup). The soups come out bubbling from the kitchen and are very tasty~ One of the more popular soups include the Combination tofu soup which contains shrimps, oysters
Korean comfort food. You can't go wrong with one of the combinations (tofu soup and a plate of beef or chicken). Before the piping hot soup arrives, they serve you appetizers, such as kimchi, veggies. etc.. The raw egg goes in the soup which keeps boiling for minutes - delicious. I eat very spicy, but a Kaju I go for medium, which turns out pretty hot.

The restaurant is busy, busy, busy with a short wait for a table at lunch, but the service is speedy and the food promptly delivered to the table. The pho is delicious and the large servings are plenty for two meals. The spring rolls were fresh and the Thai iced tea came in a to-go cup, so we could take the rest with us.I'll be returning to this restaurant often!

First time having a Vietnamese food. The flavors, the combination of the ingredients everything was perfect. I can clearly say that this Vietnamese food I tried was something like the best of Chinese food nestled with the finesse of French dishes - just to give you an Idea of it.DELICIOUS!

If you live in Orange County all your life, you know that THE place to go for pho is Pho 79 because they have authentic flavors lots of meat and with combos like tripe and tendon and meatball (they make their own meat balls), not to mention their very good bun tom thit nuong dishes. But lately, I have mostly ordered just their pho tai which is pho with just rare meat and you can't help but notice all the glistening fat floating on top which makes the soup so good. Don't get me wrong, I will not hesitate to go to pho 79 any day, but Silk Noodle Bar is a great alternative. SILK NOODLE BAR makes their own noodle which means that your noodle won't smell like the not so good oily smell that you smell when you open a fresh noodle bag that you buy at any Asian supermarket grocery store. I really appreciate that. Their filet mignon pho is melt in your mouth tenderloin beef in a very good beef broth. What is missing in their broth are the glistening globs of fat. Yes, you heard me right. Less fat but not less flavor. You could definitely taste the pho taste in the soup. There are a lot of the fresh made noodle in the soup as well. And the tenderloin meat seems to have been marinated and seared prior to being sliced and put in the pho. They have an option to add tendon (with extra charge) but the tendon might need a bit tweaking because when I ordered it, it was slightly on the salty side and too soft in texture, meaning it was cooked slightly a bit too long. I would also think about having the option of adding meatball also because kids like meatballs. A bowl of filet pho is $10. It's a bit more than a regular pho but it is well worth it. The filet pho is my favorite at this place. I've ordered it to go with cold soup (the cold soup means less chemical leeching out of the plastic container and also you can stick it in the fridge right away when you get home) so I can eat it the next early morning as they don't open until 11am. I've also tried the pork sliders which were also good. The lemonades my daughter said were on a bit too sweet side. Channel hot dog on a stick lemonade sweet-o-meter and it should be fine. I'm wondering what the owner can add to the menu so that there would be more mark up items or what programs can be added so that the restaurant can be sustainable. This pho is good and I want them to make money so that it will stay open. The restaurant was listed in AAA cheap eats magazine section recently. That probably helped. My cousin who was here to run the Huntington Beach marathon a month ago appreciated the pho and she stayed across the street at Comfort Inn. Dear Owner: maybe donate to the marathon and other programs so that your restaurant is on their program banner. Hey, $1 off for every marathon runner who finished and show you their metal?! Ok, you have a good product here. I hope you will weather the business and survive. Best of luck.
