The restaurant is in a small group of houses in an industrial area in Florence suburbs; furniture and interiors are recalling 80s, with a strange effect of "old modern"; as soon as we entered, some fish smell making you wonder if this is the right place...After the first -non positive- impact, the situation has been quickly improving with excellent fish appetizers, both the ones we selected (ventaglio di carpacci and carpaccio of swordfish with orange sauce) and the ones being served to other guests.Very good also the first dishes, the dessert, and the fresh Friuli Traminer we selected. Overall, an excellent dinner; some adjustments to the look would help to furtherly improve the rating

You would never expect a place like this in the inductrial section of Calenzano. Amazing Grill ad Seafood dishes. Must try seafood risotto and Steak Florentine Right next door to the Valmarina Hotel - once you've tried you won't want to venture down to Florence for dinner!

Came here last minute at 10 pm, the owners were very nice and welcomed us in. We had a ribollita with new olive oil, a pasta dish with veggies and capers (both very good) and then my partner got tripe with all the trimmings - beans with oil, spinach and a plate of fried chips, polenta and artichokes. We had a half bottle of Bolgheri wine and a water. All was very good and of high quality. The total was proportionate as quality doesn't come free. Portions are generous. We weren't able to finish everything. I'd love to come back here to try their seafood! Recommended and very off the beaten path. Very kind and sweet owners. You won't regret a great dinner in an elegant atmosphere.

My favourite restaurant in all of Italy. Real Tuscan food from original Tuscan recipes. The wine list is "fuori classe" as in exceptional. This restaurant is a bit outside Florence, but absolutely worth going for. The Gori's are running their restaurant with passion for food and wine in absolutely high quality.
