As a National Trust member we booked a visiting time. First time visiting Powis castle and it won’t be the last - really lovely gardens and grounds - can’t wait to come back when the castle reopens

As a group of six we went for afternoon tea at the Derwen - Very welcoming and l can highly recommend the lovely choice of sandwiches served and homemade delicious cakes ( one of our party was a vegetarian and got her sandwiches served separately which was a nice touch ) - and as much coffee or tea needed . Reasonably priced ring to book to find out ????The lady who served us was very friendly and attentive. Would book again for a special celebration.
A charming model estate cottage with barley twist chimneys, once lived in by the keeper of the various poultry who were housed in even greater splendour next door. Poultry Cottage can be booked for short breaks with the Landmark Trust, a charity that restores historic buildings at risk and makes them available for holidays.
