Havmannen ("The Man from the Sea") is a granite stone sculpture by Antony Gormley located in the city of Mo i Rana, which is referred to in Norway as "Polarsirkelbyen" ("Arctic Circle City"). The sculpture is 11 metres (36 ft) tall and weighs 60 tonnes! It's amazing!

The arctic circle center will be closed during Winter. It will be Open again in 1st of May 2020. Thank you for your interest.

Excellent souvenirs at regular prices. The certificate of crossing the arctic circle is a great idea and it looks really good! The cafe was disappointing though, no real atmosphere and poor selection.
4. Bredek Fjellgard
Bredek fjellgård is an open air museum located in Saltfjellet - Svartisen National park. Parking at Bjållånes, about 45 min drive north of Mo i Rana. The hike up to the farm takes apox. 1 hour. Information in Norwegian about the buildings is available in the app "Kulturpunkt". Contact Helgeland museum, avd. Rana for futher information on special events during the summer.
