Beautiful Hermanus is a South African seaside town that’s a popular whale-watching site. An initial visit to the Old Harbour Museum will acquaint you with the area’s rich fishing history and impress you with a massive exhibit of a whale skeleton. With dozens of area vineyards, Hermanus is a great base for a guided wine tasting tour.

We walked this every day in Hermanus - amazing views of the bay and mountains and if you are fortunate you will see whales in October and November! It is a beautiful pathway or trail along the ocean and used by locals and visitors alike. It will feast your eyes and spirit!

The little hill in the village is and easy climb and great views across the village and sea. Parking space near Checkers, but has a lot of steps

This is an absolute MUST for families looking for a wonderful farmyard petting experience! You will find a farmyard of happy, healthy animals, all under the expert care of Heidi - who is clearly an avid animal lover. Everything is so well run and organised in an understated way, and without losing the feel and appeal of a farmyard. Well done Heidi and your team. We were so impressed by all that you do for the animals! Thank you for such a happy couple of hours.

You can either go up the Rotary drive by car or take the Chill Guru bus to see this magnificent view of Hermanus and Walker Bay that stretches all the way to Gansbaai in the background. A must when visiting Hermanus

Gearing’s point is a wonderful place to view the Whales. “Whale Cryer” with his sea weed horn will let you know when the whales are there. Benches supplied for those who would like to stay a while. Artistic sculptures to see along the path which are changed from time to time. Parking plentiful
