I enjoyed myself alot. Walking around the mountain on the wooden walkways gave outstanding views. There are a number of stairways around one which leads up to a pathway into the forest. If your life is ruled by Health and Safety this path is not for you. Take plenty of water with you.

WAT Phu Thor Today Sunday 10 Aug 2014. 15th of 7th month (Ghost month) lunar calendar. It is thanks giving trip for this and just intime for 15th offering. Took me 2 night stop before able to reach Udon. Nearest town to cliff temple. Decided to depart from Hotel at 2.30am to drive to the temple...wah didnt expect i can awake at this early hour..Estimate 3.5hrs to temple from nearest udon town. It was scary (GHOST MONTH) as it is total darkness on the road with light rain....but the feeling of promise to returned with beads offering is strong...just enjoying the drive alone in early morning where I can see some lady in drunk state after ktv working, going Home from my Hotel carpark... Luckily pass by a market at 0400am..make a stop n was surprised to see some stall already opened ..feeling happy..I am able to get some fresh food offering for the monks later... Continue my journey in the dark..monitoring my fuel gauge as the nearest pump will be quite far away..I don't want to be stuck in middle of No where...305km from udon town.. 6Am..reach the temple n quickly proceeded to the kitchen to prepared the food offering.. Wah there is alot of crowds coming in at 7am..making offering...when in Rome..do what they do...I follows..;) After offering..decide now is time to Go up the cliff to make offering..!! Wondering how I will be able to make just 1 trip up alone with those offering coconuts,fruits,large candle..! GOD BLESS..!! floor is slippery.. I don't want my candle to fell halfway like my Hp note3 previously...step by step slowing I climbed up.. Clouds started to come in at certain area making it cooling n nice feel.. Feeling short of breath n muscle giving up while doing the balance act up...mind fighting to give up and asking to stop...:(. Finally reached the place of offering at the 5th level.PHEW!! The view from the top is always so Serene n peaceful.. feeling calm like Home... offering of beads was done finally from Nepal to Thailand! Feeling great!! Seem that many people who visited this mountain missed this Luxi statue..funny..?? But if u not pay attention from the exhausted climb..likely u will missed it as it is sitting inside a groove cave... He do listen to yr requested prayer.. Offering of thanks giving was made.... With this merits delicated to my family n parents , my sister family for the donation..dharma friends n colleagues ..friends of all area n all my masters n teachers .for their patience n compassionate with me...Sadhu.. For those who read this blog too..;) today I walk like a duck with all muscle pain in my leg n thighs... hahah: )..sign lack of exercise n aging... but enjoyed the trip... thanks for all
