Lehighton (/li'hɑitən/) is a borough in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, United States, 77 miles (124 km) north of Philadelphia, and 54 miles (87 km) south of Scranton. In the past, it developed early industries because of water power from the Lehigh River. With the location of a repair facility here and its regional operations, the Lehigh Valley Railroad became for years a major employer of thousands of people from the area. Post-World War II railroad and industry restructuring led to job and population losses.

Country Junction is a great place to bring the family ....this time we brought friends and had a fun time through the building . We hadn't been there in years. This time they separated the Furniture Section at the far end and made it special on concentrating mainly on the fun stuff through the building. They even had Dinosaurs that moved and roared. Lots of great stuff to buy. The Candy place is still there and they have Sugar Free items. They have a children's play arcade area and a Pizza place. The four of us had pizza. Very good Pizza. They did every other table with Social Distancing with tables in between not being used. And through out the Country Junction it self....standing points for 6 feet distancing. There are tables for outside dining with social distancing. Seasonal events outside attractions....for the family. Petting zoo.
