Daniel's Casual Fine Dining

Have made this a regular, for the food and service; our group tonight had Scallops, Salmon, Shrimp and grits, and Mahi, all excellent! Our waitress was Jacqueline, who was totally outstanding. Outstanding and attentive, she anticipated our every need. I should mention that all of the Waite staff here is excellent but she takes service to the next level. We had a wonderful evening.

Here again on a Friday nite...Their best day for me is Tuesday late lunch...Fried shrimp and flounder special day.Anyway we are having a bowl of clam chowder followed up with some boiled shrimp...Very affordable seafoods... Most times cheap seafood is not good...But Mayflower seems to be the exception.

We frequent 101 often. This place was a step above! Their menu is eclectic and all over the place. My husband enjoyed a cheesesteak while my children had fried okra and I had the hibachi. All of it was great. Only complaint would be the broccoli. It is steamed with little to no seasoning. A little salt or pepper would go a long way. I have a feeling this will be a new place in our rotation.

If you love seafood, no matter where you live, you MUST go here for your eats! I was riding through Wilson and happened upon this place: a non-descript white storefront with black block letters. There are two doors, the one to your left leads to you to a room which is a fresh seafood market. The door to the right, which is separate but does connect to the market, is literally a small room with a walk up counter. There are no seats other than an adjacent chair. You put in your order and can watch the food dropped in the fryer right in front of you. I had the fried trout, shrimp, with fries and Cole slaw, along with hush puppies. It was absolutely delicious!!! I will make the 30+ minute drive if I have another craving. If you're thinking about going to Mayflower - while I don't typically do fried food, this is tons better than the chain restaurant and I would consider this first. I would highly recommend this place for your seafood delights without going to the Coast!
