Pricey - but really good salmon sashimi ... don't order Gyudon (it'saverage) ... their spicy tuna maki (average) .. Tempura - is above average ...

Nobu in Manila has a good reputation for Japanese food, it is the only Japanese celebrity chef restaurant in Manila, no other ones around. The hype around it and the amazing comments I find however exaggerated unless our experience was so unusual. We went on a weekend for dinner, the restaurant was not busy at all, atmosphere very dull to say the least. Service was far from great, food took very long - and as I mentioned the restaurant was not busy at all and they had enough staff around. All seemed very uncoordinated, nobody seemed to run the place.The food was ok, nothing special but also nothing wrong with it, but for sure not the best Japanese food I ever had. Considering there is a celebrity chef name at the door one would expect more or not? I went to Matsuhisa in LA and some other Nobu's around the globe, those were great and exceptional, from service to food to restaurant vibe, Nobu Manila is way behind those.Quite frankly we ordered a few dishes, were not so impressed with the quality and waiting for so long, and left hungry after a while as we just had enough and were not enjoying our evening there.

Our group reserved a private room for 13 pax for our Christmas dinner party. We selected a banquet set menu and the food was very good, served hot and portions were large. Service was good but the only negative factor was the poor airconditioning in the private function room we were in.The food quality has been consistently good that's why we like dining here. It's probably the best Chinese resto in the BF Paranaque area.

Located in the Asiana near Solaire and Moa, East Ocean Palace is a very upscale Chinese restaurant, fantastic laureat food but very pricey. The parking is plentiful at the basement and cheap.(free for seniors). Decor and ambiance is classy, food are upscale and service is so good. Many private rooms available. Good for big groups. My favorite is lobster, steam fish, crab and abalone. Please note that the price here are much higher though.

We celebrated Father's day in this resto and we're actually fully satisfied though service that time was a bit slow due to the overwhelming customers. Food was quite good especially the side dishes that they offer. You get to enjoy atleast 5 side kinds of side dishes which was unlimited too. Another plus factor was the couple who owns the place. They're very nice and they actually help serve as well just to be able to accommodate the customers. Keep up the good work guys!
