Inspired by a Southern Cajun dining experience, Blue Crab Grill's unique style is a signature restaurant in Laurel. Owners Shane and Andrea Thornton have served their classic homemade menu items including gumbo, oyster half shell, grilled mahi, blue crab
We were visiting Laurel Mississippi and wanted a seafood place. Blue Crab was easy to find and had a large menu. Customer service was spot on for us. Catfish and gulf shrimp along with homemade sauces won us over. The Mac and cheese side is homemade. Will visit again!
We stopped here for the first time on 2/22/19 ordering several combo boxes. everything was fresh and tasty, and the cashier Kiara M. was awesome! We will be back, good Lord willing.
We frequently stop at Captain Ds from Laurel to South Florida, the folks in Laurel have never dissapointed us. Our food is always hot and consistently well prepared. The staff is friendly and professional. The establishment is clean and well maintained. I have never had any qualms/concerns that this location is anything but above average. If you like fish, chicken, coleslaw, hush puppies, you won't be disappointed. Service is quick, and always friendly.
Where to eat Barbecue food in Laurel: The Best Restaurants and Bars
We always seek out locally owned restaurants when we travel. So, on our way home from New Orleans we found Fins Seafood. It's an easy one-mile drive from the interstate. We had the fried shrimp and oyster po-boy and the catfish po-boy special with fries and drink. Both sandwiches were good portions and delicious, giving some of the New Orleans restaurants we ate at a run for their money. If shrimp and grits is the special of the day, order it. Best we had ever tasted. The wait staff was so friendly, as were the locals. This is definitely a stop you need to make if you're driving through the Laurel area.
