Probably the restaurant location is not the best for someone visiting the historic sites of Coimbra. It is located in a modern neighborhood next to the football stadium. If you donât mind to go out of the center I really advise you to eat in Dom Duarte Dois. They serve real Portuguese food. The quality is very good; the portions are big; the prices are very convenient. The staff is very kind and helpful and youâll have the opportunity to live a Portuguese ambience once not many tourists go so far.Enjoy your meal.

Cant believe this place was almost empty when we arrived. We had the bread and olives which were fresh. For starters we had the cheese board which included a fabulous piri piri cheese and we could have walked away stuffed and only spent â¬12.50 so be warned its not a small cheese starter. I ordered a nice bottle of white wine from the Alentejo region for â¬12. For mains we ordered the pork secreto with prawns and pineapple â¬10 and the pork with mushrooms in a sauce â¬12 that came with home made chips. Both mains were fabulous being lean cuts of bellypork. Be aware it might nit look much but it is a lot of meat and nearly defeated me. The meal was fresh and service was exemplary. If id stayed in Coimbra id have gone again. Well done guys

Nothing in this restaurant is about Naples or even italian: Portuguese food, typical portuguese restaurant. But everything is excellent, from the food to the efficiency and ending at the price, quite reasonable and adequate for the service and food. So an excellent choice if you want to try typical portuguese food at its best.

Far from the most famous restaurants of Coimbra, the "Via Lusitania" surprised by the specialty in seafood and the traditional Portuguese recipes. Frequented by locals, the service is gentle and the food does not take long to reach the table. Definitely worth checking out.
