Ardmore is 90 miles (140 km) from both Oklahoma City and Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas, at the junction of Interstate 35 and U.S. Highway 70, and is generally considered the hub of the ten-county region of South Central Oklahoma, also known by state tourism pamphlets as "Arbuckle Country" and "Lake and Trail Country." Ardmore is situated about 9 miles (14 km) south of the Arbuckle Mountains and is located at the eastern margin of the Healdton Basin, one of the most oil-rich regions of the United States.

If you enjoy fried catfish, the way fried catfish is supposed to be prepared (cornmeal batter), then you will love Casey's Catfish Coral. While traveling to Oklahoma City, I did a quick search of Catfish places near I35. While not directly on the interstate, Casey's is only a couple of miles from the interstate and definitely worth the little extra time to visit a locally owned establishment and get delicious fried catfish. I had the four catfish filet basket which came with 4 hushpuppies amid a huge pile of delicious fries. The basket also comes with pinto beans and coleslaw. It was a lot of food, and I left very full. But I also had to order the "relish side", which includes onions, lemons and pickles, but I really ordered it for the green tomato relish which was perfect. The fish was fresh, farm raised catfish, perfectly fried with a cornmeal batter. So if you happen to be in or near Ardmore, and you love traditional fried catfish, Casey's is a must stop.

This may sound crazy, but Catfish Corner has great Catfish, shrimp and other comfort foods, all very good and reasonably priced. But they also have extremely good Mexican food. John makes trips to New Mexico to buy the best and freshest Chilis.

My GPS guided us to the Chicken Express in Ardmore and it was well worth leaving the Interstate on our trip. When we entered, our first observation was that the dining area was exceptionally clean and the kitchen area appeared to be very clean also. Our service was excellent and the friendly staff brought our food to our table, something we're not accustom to in all fast food restaurants. Since chicken is one of our favorite foods, we've eaten in several Chicken Express restaurants and their food has always been excellent and this one in Ardmore was no exception. We would certainly recommend this restaurant to anyone that likes chicken and they also have catfish on their menu.

One Star is "TO" much - Is there a rating for HORRIBLE!!!!! The "SO-Called" manager "Allie" was RUDE ~ Hateful ~ Smirky and Proud that she was. When my husband and I arrived at the counter the girl "Allie" taking orders was waiting on customers ahead of us I noticed at that time she was being Very Unfriendly to those customers. Finally when it came our time to place our order again she was Very Unfriendly which I would have taken in stride and not mentioned but just in private conversation if it weren't for what took place next. We sat down and right next to our table is a advertisement sign showing the "Daily Specials" which turned out one of our items was the special. I took our receipt to the counter and mentioned this to her, to which her reply (very rudely I might add) "Well he should have told me"- I stated that she should know her menu and prices and we should not have to tell her - again her reply "It is not up to me it is up to you to tell me"- I stated well that is ok there is a survey on the back of this receipt that I will be completing and your name is on the ticket - she stated "Thats ok my name is Allie" her rudeness was getting quite severe at this point with smirky comments - I asked for the manager-she stated "Well that would be me"- mind you she acted and gave me the impression that she Did Not Care about Customer Service - she Did Not Care about Customer Satisfaction - really she Plain Flat Did Not Care! (MANAGER??????) WOW what a "Leader" she must be to the other employees - a "Shining Example of the Oh Well I Don't Care Attitude". I have taken that survey on the website and have stated these facts in it I wish there was a space on that for "Overall Satisfaction" because a "Below Zero" would not be accurate for my experience. With that I will Never return and I surely pass the word around of my experience from this restaurant and "Manager Allie". With ALL the restaurants located in Ardmore I will Gladly pass this one up!

this is the place to eat for. seafood . shrimp', crab cakes, oysters, catfish fillets, and chicken. the food is excellent and the portions are large. for this kind of food, there is not any in ardmore that can come close.
