There is an interesting mix of techniques, flavours and produce in the relatively small menu. We ate there over two nights. The white fish toast appetiser was my highlight, while the white fish main and the trout main made it to the winner's platform. There was a small selection of wines and beer on sale but these were well priced and matched to the food.

The restaurant of Hotel Inari is named Aurora. They also have a pub called Rantsu. We had a dinner in restaurant Aurora. They serve many different meals, e.g. pizzas, hamburgers, pasta, fish and meat, including many local specialties. They also have an own menu for children. So there should be something for everybody there. We all loved our food.Everything is clean. Service was very quick, perhaps because the restaurant was almost empty at 5.30 pm. River view is extremely beautiful from the restaurant.

Ahkun Tupa is also known as Lemmenjoen Lomamajat. It is situated next to Lemmenjoki Camping & Cabins, only 1.5 kilometers from the entrance of Lemmenjoki National Park (read separate Tripadvisor reviews), by the river Lemmenjoki. There is an asphalted road from the center of Inari to Ahkun Tupa. The location is very beautiful. The restaurant is surrounded by countryside, Lappish nature, forests and fells.Ahkun Tupa is a family business by a local Sami family. The company was founded as early as in 1955. They have a cafeteria-restaurant but also cottages and rooms (actually small semidetached cottages) for accommodation. They also offer motorboat excursions to Lemmenjoki National Park.We stayed two nights in a log cottage and ate both breakfasts and dinners in Ahkun Tupa. We had their best cottage named Susi for four people (80 euros/night). There were two very large bunk beds, electric heating, a fridge, a kitchenette, dishes, an own toilet, an own shower and an own electrically heated log sauna in our cottage. The accommodation price didn't include breakfasts. Breakfasts had to be ordered and paid separately (á 9.50 euros). The breakfast time was exactly at 9.00 am. The breakfast included bread, cheese, cold cuts, porridge, fried egg, yoghurt, biscuits, coffee and tea. It was very nice to eat the breakfast and watch the beautiful river view. They also offer lunches but we were hiking in Lemmenjoki National Park at that time. However, we ate dinners in their restaurant. They have a very good á la carte menu with many local specialties. I ate "Ahkun poroerikoinen" (Ahku's reindeer specialty) which included reindeer (also mushrooms, onions etc.), mashed potatoes and salad. It was very delicious. My son wanted to taste reindeer tongue but unfortunately it was sold out. So he ordered fried salmon. They also said that they could cook small dishes outside the á la carte menu. They could fry sausages and potatoes or something like that. They also serve alcohol, refreshments, coffee and pastries. However, their pastry selection is extremely limited. We loved Ahkun Tupa more than the neighboring restaurant of Lemmenjoki Camping & Cabins. The best things of Ahkun Tupa are the local cuisine, the beautiful river view and the local atmosphere. However, remember that this isn't any gourmet restaurant. It is more like Lappish homemade food.
Äaiju serves delicious freshly baked cinnamon rolls and sweet and savory pastries. Organic, fair trade filtered coffee and specialty coffees: espresso, cappuccino, latte.
Sajos is about the only place in Inari where you can guarantee the internet will ALWAYS work. 2 computers available for either an hour or half an hour. Very quiet tranquil setting, with a display of Sami handicrafts and movie nights.
