Just outside of Budapest, this town is full of churches, galleries, museums and cafes. Szentendre was settled by Serbians fleeing from the Turkish occupation in the 17th century. Because of the Serbian influence the town has the Mediterranean feel.

Szentendre was largely settle by Serbians withdrawing from the Turkish occupation of their country and built this church in the mid-18th century. It is beautifully decorated inside, with frescoes, paintings, icons and a magnificent iconostasis. There is a token entrance fee. The church is located on the main square of town, within steps of other museums, restaurants and cafes.
