We are a small but cosy and a restaurant located in the centre of Mbeya Town. Our friendly staff and atmosphere will make you feel very much at home. All different types of food from indian to continental cooked fresh. Take aways and picnic lunches are available on request. We have an in house bakery and also bake fresh bread and cakes.
We looked for a nice restaurant in Mbeya and found Babu Kubwa on the high street, the staff are really friendly and the owner hands on , they will go out of their way to assist you.
The restaurant offers various cuisines from Indian, Chinese and Continental. The streaks and the Breaded chicken Masala chips were so tasty, we stayed in Mbeya for a few days and ended up eating there every night.
The Restaurant also has a well stocked supermarket adjoining.
You can't go wrong here. Its clean and the food is fresh. I highly recommend this place to have your meals while in Mbeya. The price is also very reasonable.

After days of suffering food that made us ill in Mbeya, we were taken here by a local and left quite happy! They served us watermelon/orange juice which was absolutely delicious, in addition to chicken pizzas which were great. It's simple and basic, but leaving it we felt like we'd finally properly eaten for the first time in days. My colleagues had a salad of tomatoes and onion that looked really good but I didn't try. I know that they also serve sandwiches, pasta and burgers too. Anyway, I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone who's traveling and looking for a safe place to eat in Mbeya.
