A tasty surprise tucked away on a side street near Hotel le Geyser and Chez Lazare.
It's not easy to find, but once you do -- it's worth it! (We found it by asking directions to 'Chez la Belge.')
Inexpensive, tasty home cooked Belgian meals -- which may take a while -- are served in a local open air style restaurant.
There will be plenty of conversation with the owners, who may just feel like your adopted family while in Kpalime.

Chez Fanny is a surprisingly lovely spot in the town of Kpalime, Togo! Our meal was very good, the service was great, the atmosphere was comfortable, and the prices quite good for the good food we had. There is also a hotel/B&B here that we heard was quite nice. We recommend the restaurant with no hesitation.

Simply good, and in all aspects indeed.. Great ambience, music is smooth Jazz, combined with gentle and highly professional service. A clean and place with fast service, you´ll get the pizzas for the whole table, in less than 30 mins.
I have had quite a few visits to this place, and it hereby comes highly recommended.
You´ll most likely meet the owner himself, Didier, and trust me when i say, that he´ll make you feel most welcome, he´s talkative and friendly, but he do not exhaust the guests, he knows exactly when to leave you to your visit.. Go and enjoy the splenderness of this place, steak, pizza etc. it´s all worth it :)

A cooking school and small restaurant catering to the local population, Macumba is a great find (off the main road). The menu is small - keeping to classic Togolese dishes such as Fufu with groundnut sauce; Fufu with okra stew; Fufu and chicken; Fufu and leaves (there is a pattern building here...). The stew are tantalizingly spicy (locally picked scotch bonnets) and the fufu is fresh and pliable. Go hungry, plan for a nap afterwards!
